Overview

Ready-made courses, inside the platform you already use

Dossier Academy gives your organization a catalog of e-learning courses you don't have to build yourself. Dossier publishes every course centrally, and your teams can use them in two ways.

Administrators add Academy courses to competency requirements, so each completion is assigned, tracked and documented like any other course. Staff can also open Dossier Academy from the main menu and take courses on their own. Academy runs on Learn, Dossier's course module, so it sits alongside Competency Management and Clinical Learning, and completions land in the same record.

Two ways in

Two ways to use Academy courses

Academy fits the way your teams already work. Use competency requirements when a course is required for a role, and the catalog when staff want to learn on their own. Most organizations use both. Your Dossier team helps you turn on each path and choose who sees it.

  • Add courses to competency requirements for any role or unit
  • Staff browse, enroll and see results from the main menu
  • Courses launch the same way as every other Dossier course
  • Available to employees of Dossier customer organizations

What you can do

What your teams can do with Academy

  • Assign to requirements

Attach Academy courses to competency requirements, so every completion counts as documented evidence for the role.

  • Learn on demand

Staff open Dossier Academy from the main menu, read course descriptions, enroll and review their own results.

  • Track every completion

When a course is part of a competency requirement, its completion is recorded in the employee's Dossier profile automatically.

How it works

From catalog to competency

  1. Turn on access

Your Dossier team confirms your Learn connection and helps your administrators choose which staff see the Academy catalog, usually by group.

  2. Add courses to requirements

Administrators find Academy courses and add them to the competency requirements for each role, just as they would add any other course.

  3. Learn and track

Staff start and complete courses the way they do today, and each completion is tracked against their requirements in Dossier.

Academy content is published by Dossier. Your own courses stay in your organization's course catalog in Dossier, and they can sit alongside Academy courses in the same competency requirements.

Yes. When an Academy course is added to a competency requirement, completion is assigned, tracked and documented like any other course, and recorded in the employee's Dossier profile.
