Partnership

The DAISY Foundation™ Welcomes Dossier into Their Industry Partner Community

New partnership connects meaningful recognition with professional growth across the nursing career journey.

The DAISY Foundation, Industry Partner. Honoring nurses internationally in memory of J. Patrick Barnes.

The announcement

Celebrating nurses and supporting their growth

Dossier, a healthcare competency management platform, today announced a partnership with The DAISY Foundation™, the international leader in meaningful recognition of nurses, to celebrate the extraordinary impact of nurses while supporting their continued growth and development throughout their careers.

The partnership highlights the two organizations’ focus on the most essential part of healthcare: the people delivering it.

Two organizations

Two organizations, one focus

  • The DAISY Foundation

For 27 years, The DAISY Foundation has recognized nurses for the extraordinary skill, compassion and care they provide to patients and families.

  • Dossier

Dossier works with healthcare organizations to help nursing leaders and clinical teams manage competency, professional development and workforce readiness.

Why it matters

Recognition and growth are two sides of the same career

As demand for skilled nurses continues to climb, with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting 6% growth in registered nurse employment and 36% growth for nurse practitioners between 2025 and 2035, supporting nurses at every stage has never mattered more.

Two nurses help an older patient sit up at the edge of a hospital bed.

What the partners say

“The nurses who move us most are the same ones quietly building their skills every single day. Recognition and professional growth should never be separate parts of that journey. DAISY has created an extraordinary global movement around the impact nurses make. We’re proud to support that mission and to find new ways, together, to recognize, develop and celebrate the people at the heart of healthcare.”

Geir ArnhoffCEO of Dossier

“We are thrilled to welcome Dossier to our global DAISY community. Their values align beautifully with our drive to ensure that nurses are meaningfully recognized for their extraordinary compassionate care for patients and families. Dossier’s commitment to DAISY demonstrates the company’s strong support for nurses’ careers and development.”

Working together

What the partnership will do

Through the partnership, Dossier and The DAISY Foundation will collaborate on initiatives that elevate nurses and nurse leaders, share their stories, and create new opportunities for education and professional development.

  • Elevate nurses and nurse leaders

  • Share their stories

  • Create new opportunities for education and professional development

First activation

At the 2026 ANCC Magnet & Pathway Conference

The organizations will bring the partnership to life around the 2026 ANCC Magnet & Pathway Conference, taking place in Chicago, where Dossier will host a DAISY themed giveaway at their booth.

Attendees will be invited to submit a short video sharing a favorite DAISY memory, or a story of a nurse who made a meaningful difference, for a chance to win a prize. The activation turns the conference floor into a space for nurses to celebrate one another and the moments that show what nursing truly means.

The ANCC Magnet and Pathway activation will be the first of several ways the organizations will work together, with additional educational content, storytelling and collaborative initiatives planned.

About

About The DAISY Foundation

The DAISY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, by members of his family. Patrick died at the age of 33 in late 1999 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a little-known but not uncommon auto-immune disease. (DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.)

The care Patrick and his family received from Nurses while he was ill inspired the creation of The DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses, an evidenced-based means of providing Nurse recognition and thanking Nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and patient families.

In addition to the DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses, the Foundation expresses gratitude to the nursing profession internationally in over 8,200 healthcare facilities and schools of nursing with recognition programs for nurses wherever they practice, in whatever role they serve, and throughout their careers – from nursing student through lifetime achievement, and through several lines of research grant and evidence-based practice projects funding.
